Iowa safety prospect ready for 2004

Clear Lake, Iowa wide receiver/safety prospect Matt Scribbins (6-foot-3, 205 pounds) knows that a strong early start in his senior season could mean landing scholarship offers from his favorite schools this fall.
“The coaches have been very honest with me in the recruiting process," Matt Scribbins said. “They want to see me go out and hit somebody this year Unfortunately the only tape I had for them to evaluate were highlights, so my early senior tape will be very important for me. Several schools have already requested my first few games this fall."

"I would love to have a ton of offers at this point, but I also understand that each school needs to make a close evaluation. I'm fine with the fact that they are at least serious in it's interest in me at this point, and now it's up to me to give them something to see this fall. I'm ready to get things going."
Scribbins talked about his early favorites.
"I would say that Northwestern has been picking things up lately from an interest standpoint. Northwestern, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Indiana are schools that I'm looking at and those schools have shown the most recruiting interest."
"At this point, I'm pretty open recruiting-wise. I just want to get a chance to play college ball and I'll listen to anyone who's interested in recruiting me."
