Iowa City athlete Calvin Davis is getting quite a bit of interest from around the midlands region, and look for that interest to pick up as the new season starts.
"I broke my ankle last season," Davis said, "and that limited me to only 5 games." Some stellar early season performance in 2001 should really help Davis out.
Right now Iowa, Arizona State, Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin are all recruiting him. Iowa is his lone offer so far. Any school ahead of the rest of the pack? "Yeah I guess you could say Iowa is slightly ahead of the others," Davis said. Distance will not be a factor in his decision.
Calvin was not able to make any summer camps this year but he has made unofficial visits to Wisconsin and Iowa State.
Do you have a list of must see schools for official visits? "I would really like to see Nebraska, Arizona State, Wisconsin and Iowa," Davis said, "they all have standout programs, but I don't know much more about them yet. I'll take most of my visits and then decide later in the year."
