Iowa OLB heading to Big 10

Oelwein, Iowa, outside linebacker Ryan Majerus has made up his mind. And it's a decision that keeps him close to home and in the Big 10.
"I went to Iowa City for a visit with the academic advisors," Majerus, a three-star prospect, said.

"It got to ask my questions and got all of the answers that I wanted. It felt right. I then went over to the football office and talked to coach Ferentz. I told him that I got the right answers from the academic people and that you also have my commitment."
So what was the reaction?
"He stood up, shook my hand and had a big smile on his face," Majerus said. "I was also really happy."
Majerus, who is 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, was one of the top players at the Rivals100.com Kansas City Junior Event last March. Back then landing a scholarship seemed like a distant goal, but not anymore.
"Iowa offered me last week, and I needed to check things out," he said. "But I liked what I saw, and this proves to me what hard work can do. I sat down last year after my junior season and dedicated myself to getting to play college football.
"Now my dream has come true.
