Iowa offers Arkansas FB/LB

One of Arkansas’ top prospects has a new scholarship offer.
Searcy fullback/linebacker Weston Dacus picked up an offer from Iowa last week to go along with his previous offer from Arkansas.

“He’s at Razorback camp right now,” said the player’s father, Robert. “He shaved some time off his 40. He ran a 4.65 there after being in the 4.7 range before. He also had a 4.09 in the shuttle. Coach Nutt said that was one of their fastest shuttle times for his position.
"They like him at both fullback and linebacker. I think Houston and Danny Nutt are going to fight over him if that's the place he winds up."
Dacus (6-2, 225) went to Oklahoma’s camp last week.
“They said they were impressed, but there hasn’t been an offer yet,” Robert Dacus said. “They wanted to see more tape, though, so we took that as a good sign.
“He’s going up to Iowa on Sunday. He’s supposed to go to Nebraska and LSU after that, but I’m not sure if he’s going to make those. He’s getting a little worn down.”
In addition to those schools, Dacus is being recruited by Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Memphis.
As a junior, he rushed for 1,183 yards on 168 carries and scored 15 touchdowns.
