Iowa lineman gets position change in 2004

Eldora, Iowa defensive end prospect Codie Fetters (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) from Eldora-New Providence High School is coming off a very productive summer camp circuit, and Fetters is also looking forward to a possible new position change for his 2004 senior season.
"I camped this summer at Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa," Codie Fetters said. "I'm also playing basketball with my team this summer, so that's been keeping me pretty busy."

Fetters talked his overall impressions from his college camp visits earlier this summer.
"I thought that overall the camps went well. I was happy that I was able to get to all of the camps, and each school I camped at seemed to be recruiting me at a different position. Iowa worked me as an offensive linemen, Iowa State is looking at me as a defensive end, and Northern Iowa is looking at me at both positions. I'm totally fine with whatever position they feel I can contribute at, and I feel that I was able to show each school my versatility."
Fetters is also looking forward to his upcoming senior season.
"We went 13-0 last year and won a state title, and we also graduated 11 players from that team. Nine of those players who graduated were two-way starters for us, so everyone is basically counting us out this year. I think that we'll be really tough this year, and it's great motivation for us as a team to have everyone writing us off. It's going to be a different feeling this year to be an underdog, but it's also extra motivation for us this year."
Fetters might also have a new position in 2004.
"My coach has talked about me playing inside linebacker this year on defense, plus I'll also be playing on the offensive line again. It will be different playing inside linebacker for me after playing defensive end, but I'm looking forward to the challenge."
