Iowa athlete wide open
Wide open is how Brett Flynn of South Tama County, Iowa describes his attitude toward his college prospects.
“I’m still looking everywhere,” Flynn said. “I’m considering every school that writes.”

Over the summer Flynn was busy attending camps all across the Midwest. He went to Iowa and Iowa State, and a Nike camp in Boulder, Colorado.
“The Nike camp was a good experience,” Flynn said. “They taught us a lot of new drills and I got to go up against some great football players. I also thought I tested pretty well out there in the testing portion.”
Kansas State, Kansas, and the University of Northern Iowa are all courting Flynn as well.
“I’ve been to Manhattan and Lawrence on unofficial visits for their spring games. Naturally, I’ve been to both Iowa and Iowa State a few times.”
What about his prospects for the upcoming season?
“I hope we can make it to the UNI-dome (for the last two rounds of playoffs). We were one game away last year.”
