Iowa 3 star OL lands his first call

Laporte City, Iowa four star ranked offensive line prospect Matt Pipho (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) received the first of many phone calls last night. So who was the first school to call Pipho?
“I got my first call from Vanderbilt right after practice was over with," Matt Pipho said. “Vandy said that they are really interested in recruiting me, and they also will request my early senior tape. We talked about their program and what they have to offer academically."

Pipho is also getting ready to kickoff his senior season on Friday.
"We open up Friday night against Hudson, and I'm pretty excited about getting the season going. I'm also planning to check out the Iowa State-UNI game in Ames on Saturday. I've been invited to a bunch of games this fall, and I'm going to try to get to a few games, I'm just not sure when or where just yet."
Pipho, who has offers from Stanford and Iowa State, doesn't really have any pregame rituals.
"I'm not a headphones guy at all before a game. I actually just like to sit in the corner of the locker room and I'm really quiet. I just like to stay relaxed as well as focus in on the task at hand."
Rule of thumb in football? Always be very aware of the quiet guys.
