Iowa 3 star lineman drawing more interest

Marion, Iowa three star ranked offensive tackle prospect Andy Kuempel (6-foot-7, 250 pounds) started back to school this week, and Kuempel stated the same message heard around the country by players, coaches, students and teachers alike.
“One thing is certain, the summer is just way too short," Andy Kuempel said. "I started school on Monday, and I just don't know what happened to the summer. First I know I was at a college football camp, and the next thing I know I'm already back in school. We need to do something about this!"

Kuempel has also continued to see more and more schools showing recruiting interest in his services this summer.
"I'm seeing a lot more mail from several different schools these days, and the mail I'm getting is getting much more creative. I'm still getting tons of mail from the schools that have already offered me (Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Miami of Ohio). The mail has gone from hand-written letters to scheduled and media guides to even more creative things. It's been fun to check out what some schools have put together."
"I was really surprised to see some hand-written letters and mail from the University of Miami (Fla.). Miami has definitely started to show some interest, and the coaches mentioned that they were able to see my junior tape and liked what they saw."
Kuempel in the meantime will get ready for kickoff in eight days.
"I know I'm ready to get the season started. We're done with double sessions, and now it's more about getting sharp in what we're trying to do on both sides of the ball. I'm going to start to narrow things down recruiting-wise in a few weeks."
