Interest rising for Magnolia QB

A rising quarterback prospect in the Magnolia State is Hattiesburg Oak Grove’s Kyle Sellers.
Sellers (6-0, 170, 4.53) has picked up scholarship offers from Southern Miss and Rice, and is starting to receive heavier interest from Ole Miss and Tulane.

“The two that are recruiting me the hardest are Southern Miss and Rice,” he said. “Also some smaller schools. But Ole Miss, Tulane and Middle Tennessee are giving me a lot more attention lately. I like all four of those schools.
“I’m pretty open-minded right now. I’m waiting to see who all offers – see what my options look like – but I’m pretty sure I’ll visit Rice and Southern Miss.”
Sellers has made unofficial visits to Alabama (Oklahoma game) and Southern Miss (TCU, Nebraska games).
He plays alongside top running back/linebacker prospect Garry Pack, who has helped draw attention to his quarterback this season. Sellers has thrown for more than 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns in helping lead Oak Grove to the Class 5A South State championship.
Academically, he maintains a 3.6 GPA and has scored a 17 on the ACT.
