Frederick (Md.) Thomas Johnson athlete DeAndre Scott continues to fly under the radar. The 6-foot-0, 170-pounder is putting together an impressive senior season and while more offers haven't come yet, colleges are interested.
"Recruiting has picked up as more people are committing," he said. "I still have offers from Central Michigan and Navy.
"I'm actually in contact with Rutgers. I like them a lot. I'm hearing from Pittsburgh, Kansas State, Wisconsin and Bowling Green."
What are the colleges saying?
"They are pretty much telling me they want to see my first three games," he said. "I just sent all that stuff out and now I'm waiting to hear back. I sent it to Rutgers two weeks ago."
On the season, Scott has impressed playing both ways.
"It's going really well," he said. "Right now I'm leading the team in interceptions and receiving yards. I have five interceptions and over 300-yards receiving and seven touchdowns so far."
