Defensive end Jordan Stanton is a rising prospect to monitor this season in the 2009 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 236-pounder continues to hold one offer from James Madison. However, the Fairfax (Va.) Robinson prospect is gaining interest from other schools.
"I'm really focused on our season and getting better," he said. "I have been talking to Virginia Tech, staying in touch with them.
"I'm planning to go on visits down to Virginia, Virginia Tech and JMU. I think I'd like to stay local and go to whoever offers me."
As he waits for offers, Stanton maintains there are no leaders.
"I'm not really sure, I've got to visit the colleges first and see what I like," he said. "I've got to finish this season first."
In the meantime, Stanton has helped his team to a 1-1 record.
"We just lost to Stone Bridge, it was a tough loss," he said. "I think our team is working hard and trying to get better. We're working as a team.
"I'm trying to be more of a leader and improve our defense as a whole."
