Interest picks up for Logan

Playing at a small private school in New England, linebacker Abner Logan of Brookline (Mass.) Dexter School has worked very hard to get his name out to college coaches. His hard work has begun to pay off, as Logan reeled in a recent offer and is planning on attending a number of camps this summer.
Logan, 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds, first gave an update on his recruiting process.

"Recruiting is good," said Logan. "I got an offer from FIU and Towson wants me to go there for a visit. I talked to FIU's head coach over the phone and he offered me on the spot."
Logan already had a previous offer from Massachusetts, but now the FIU offer gives him the opportunity to play a higher level of football at the next level.
"It's D1 and a rising program," said Logan. "I think they're a good program for me, but I'm still keeping my options open."
Logan has been receiving interest at both linebacker and running back, but FIU seems open to his future position.
"They didn't specify," said Logan. "Maybe linebacker, but they said if my speed improves, maybe running back. They weren't sure."
Logan has also begun to piece together his summer schedule.
"I have UConn, Penn State, Florida and FIU," said Logan. "I'll fit them all in during the summer. I'll visit and go for a one-day camp."
During these visits, Logan has a few things in mind that he will be looking for.
"Somewhere that will allow me to major in business management and marketing," said Logan. "It would have to be a location that I feel comfortable in, along with it being accessible to my family if needed. Football wise, I'd have to see what their goals are and if I believe it or not."
