Interest picks up for Hester

Richmond (Va.) Varina cornerback T.K. Hester has seen his recruiting rise in recent weeks. Who is checking out the 5-foot-11, 178-pounder?
"It has picked up," he said. "I've been talking a lot with Richmond. Coach Burton and I are really close. I've been talking to Delaware, Brown, Temple, Buffalo and Syracuse.

"Syracuse hasn't offered yet. They want some senior film, but once I get it chopped up. I think it's a good chance. I think they are close."
Hester is attempting to get a few other schools interested as he is sending tape to Wake Forest, North Carolina and Florida State as well.
Is he looking into taking unofficial visits?
"I have been invited to a few games, Virginia-USC and Buffalo-Missouri," he said. "I haven't made any of them yet, although DeAntre Rhodes and I are planning to go to Virginia Tech for their next game (October 4th Western Kentucky)."
The two-star prospect has helped Varina to a 3-0 start and a big matchup with Hermitage this week.
"Everything is going well," he said. "We are undefeated at the moment. Everything is looking great. One thing I can say about this team is that we've got a tough skin. Teams are making adjustments against us and in the second half we take advantage of those adjustments. We are determined to finish the game out.
"I've been doing great. I'm averaging five tackles a game and had an interception for a touchdown last game. I also have four batted passes and two sacks."
