Interest picks up for Fiailoa

Lawton (Okla.) MacArthur three-star offensive guard T.J. Fiailoa currently holds offers from Utah State, Stephen F. Austin, and North Texas, and interest has arrived from Houston, Hawaii, Kansas State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, and Wyoming.
The schools he is receiving the most attention from though are the in-state programs.

"Right now it's mostly the Oklahoma colleges - OU, OSU, and Tulsa," Fiailoa said. "Those three send me about the same amount of letters every week. They're showing a lot of interest."
He has not been able to attend spring practices, but he was able to attend Junior Days at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Both left favorable impressions.
Oklahoma: "I thought it was pretty nice. It was a nice experience how they had everything set up. They're about to have a new weight room and everything. It was pretty nice. I liked it."
Oklahoma State: "The drive was long. When we were driving there you wouldn't see anything. It was like in the middle of nowhere. Then you'll just see OSU right there. It was a nice experience too. There were a lot of nice people. They had some polynesian coaches. I got to talk to coaches. They were nice to me."
Fiailoa also has a few camp plans for the summer.
"I just plan on going to the camps and working out by myself or with friends to get better for this upcoming season," Fiailoa said. "I plan on going to OU and OSUs camp and then I plan on going to the Sam Houston State camp in Huntsville, Texas. They came by today and they liked me and they wanted me to come to their camp. I plan on going to their camp."
At 6-foot-4, 336-pounds, Fiailoa played guard as a sophomore and right tackle as a junior. He receiving most of his attention at guard, but he also plans to showcase his skillset at another position as a senior.
"They have me playing right tackle now, but my coach has me at back-up center," Fiailoa said. "He said he wants me to get some reps at center because he knows realistically I'm going to be playing center or guard wherever I go to college. I played my guard my sophomore year so he wants me to play center my senior year. He's going to put me in for a couple of reps to see how it is."
