Interest picks up for Davis

Hacienda Heights (Calif.) Los Altos all-purpose running back James Davis has had no lack of interest early in the recruiting process. While no offers have come in yet there are many possibilities beginning to spark up.
"Boston College, Rutgers, Colorado and Cal are the schools I'm hearing the most from," Davis said.

"Colorado has talked about coming forward with an offer. I have a friend named Cha'pelle Brown, who committed there last year so I know him up there. They're a team I'm looking at hard."
While Colorado may be the first team to come forward with an offer it appears the front-runner can be found in the 5-foot-9, 175-pounder's back yard.
"Cal is my favorite right now," he said.
"I just like them. Jesse Canada is there, and I've always grown up following them. Boston College is recruiting me the hardest right now, though. I get the most stuff from them. I wouldn't mind leaving the state to go there, but I don't know much about them right now."
At this point the only camp Davis intends to attend will be the California summer camp. Whether Cal offers or not the final decision will be little more than a feeling of which school is the right situation for him.
"I'll probably go wherever I feel the most comfortable," he said. "It will kind of be a feeling. I'm not really sure what it will be or if it will be one thing, but I'll just know it's the right place for me."
Davis plans to take advantage of all of his visits before making his decision.
