Interest picking up for PAs Ahrenhold

Philadelphia (Pa.) Chestnut Hill Academy cornerback Tyler Ahrenhold holds a lone offer from Arizona. The 6-foot-0, 167-pounder continues to receive interest from other schools across the country.
"Right now I'm focusing mostly on my senior season and working towards that," he said. "I do feel a whole lot stronger and faster and I've put on extra 10-pounds. I think the team is looking good too and we're confident about this season.

"This is an exciting year for us. We're in a new and bigger league and it's our first year. I think we have a good chance of doing well because we have a strong team coming back. Individually I'm just looking to do my job and let the game come to me."
On the recruiting front, Ahrenhold is receiving plenty of interest.
"I've been talking to a lot of schools and basically it's up to me and depends on my senior season and how I perform," he said. "A lot of Division I-AA schools are hard after me, but I'm also getting looks from Division I programs including Northwestern, Boston College, Connecticut, Temple and Penn state. They all are waiting for film after the first couple games."
Now schools are currently leading for the Keystone State prospect.
"To be honest, I'm open to any opportunity," he said. "I'm not putting anybody up above, but I do love Arizona. I had a good time out there and I like what they have to offer. Mike Stoops is a great coach and I like the direction he's taking their program. I do plan to take an official out there sometime later in the season."
As for a decision, Ahrenhold plans to hold off for a while.
"I think I'll likely make my decision at the end of the year after my officials. I'm not trying to rush things."
