Interest on the upswing for Florida RB

Dunnellon, Fla. running back Rodney Jones attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee where he sent his stock soaring. Since then he's picked up some nice offers including a new one from a Big 12 school.
"I got a new offer recently from Iowa State and central Florida," Jones said. "I already had offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Akron. I have been getting calls from South Florida, Alabama, Troy and Middle Tennessee State too."

The 5-foot-11.5, 190-pound Jones attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, ran the shuttle in 4.54 seconds, posted a 30-inch vertical jump and did 20 reps on the bench press.
"Right now my top schools would be South Florida, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, Iowa State and Alabama," Jones said. "I went to the South Florida-Louisville game a few weeks back. It was a real cool experience. I thought it was going to be a close game or whatever, but South Florida was real impressive the way they won."
So far throught seven games this season Jones has rushed for right at 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns.
"I haven't st up any of my official visits yet this year," Jones said. "I am trying to focus on my season right now and I will take care of all of that afterwards."
As a junior Jones rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns on 118 carries. Defensively he played safety and cornerback where he collected 40 tackles and one interception.
