Interest is rising for Philly WR

Philadelphia (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara wide receiver Stephen Werner is accumulating interest from coast to coast. Does the 6-foot-0, 165-pounder have any leaders early in the recruiting process?
"I've been getting a bunch of letters, but nothing is serious lately," he said. "I'm getting stuff from Purdue, Indiana, Boston College, Illinois and Stanford mostly.

"I wouldn't say I really have any favorites, but I always grew up a fan of Penn State. I like that their stadium is huge and I've been up there before. That would be an awesome place to play. They also have huge facilities.
"In general, academics are going to play a big factor since I have a 3.9-GPA. Other than that, I just want to go to good school and I want somewhere I can play."
Later this spring, Werner plans to make it to the Penn State Nike Camp.
Werner is receiving college interest in track too after earning first team all-league honors in track.
"I've been getting a lot of interest for track too," he said. "I'm not sure if I'll have a better chance with that, but I love football and I'd like to try to work out and play both sports."
