Interest is rising for OT Watnee

Charlotte (N.C.) South Mecklenburg offensive tackle Michael Watnee continues to look for his first offer. Who is eyeing the 6-foot-8, 320-pounder and does he like anyone?
"I've been to a couple schools in the past month, North Carolina on June 19th and Duke on the 20th," he said. "I broke my nose at North Carolina 20 minutes into the workout when a player did a swim move on me and hit me in the face with his elbow. North Carolina told me they'd keep looking at me, but they couldn't see much in the 20 minutes I was there.

"The next day I went to Duke to watch their workout and that was good too."
Aside from Duke and North Carolina, who else is eyeing Watnee?
"I'm hearing from NC State, Clemson and Wake Forest," he said. "Those are kind of the ones giving me the most attention.
"Most of the schools want to see me play this season since it'll be my first year playing offensive tackle. Last year I played defensive tackle, so schools want to see how I move on the field."
Currently two schools have caught the Carolina prospect's attention at this time.
"If I had to pick my top two right now, they'd probably be Duke and Clemson," he stated. "I love the coaches at Duke and Clemson and the new facilities at Clemson are amazing."
