Interest is picking up for Jersey QB

Interest is rising for 6-foot-4, 180-pound quarterback Quadir Pendleton. The East Orange, N.J. prospect is getting looks from quite a few colleges across the country.
"I got a letter from Florida recently," he said. "I'm also hearing from Miami, Tennessee, Ohio State, Maryland and Michigan and Notre Dame.

"Nobody has offered, I just took my SAT."
Three schools stick out to Pendleton in the early going.
"I really like Miami and Florida," he said. "I like those because of the nice weather down there, it's pretty cold up here. Florida just won a national championship and after Tebow, they'll need to fill that spot. With Miami, I just like that college.
"I like Ohio State too. Tyrelle Pryor is a role model and I think I can play as many position as him."
Pendleton plans to participate in the Nike Camp at Penn State in May.
He posted 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a junior last season.
