Interest is just beginning for NC lineman

One North Carolina offensive lineman has flown largely under the radar to date. Colleges aren't as familiar with the 6-foot-4, 288-pounder as he has been at four high schools in three years.
"My dad is in the military. My freshman year I lived in Illinois and that's where I'm originally from," Spring Lake (N.C.) Overhills offensive guard Alex Mosier said. "From there I went to E.E. Smith in Fayetteville, N.C., halfway through my sophomore year I moved to Wisconsin to be with my dad and then I came back down last July here and started all last season."

Mosier helped Overhills to the second round of the playoffs and two 1,300-yard tailbacks.
Obviously Mosier was a part of that success, what stands out about him as a player?
"I've moved around so much I have so many different styles of football," he said. "Normally I throw people and I'm known for pancaking and holding a good block.
"I do want to improve particularly on my strength, step drills and start as well as my speed agility."
Recruiting has been hampered a bit for the Carolina prospect by the various moves.
"When I was in Wisconsin I went to their camp and they were very interested," he said. "Notre Dame was looking too. I lost contact with them. I am going to Elon on July 11th for their prospect day.
"I also went to North Carolina for camp. They said they liked what I have. I have special talent and they'll watch me this season."
Mosier claims no favorites at this time, but is looking for a few things in a college.
"I just love football," he said. "Location isn't a big deal for me. I'm looking for what the school provides me. I want to go to school to become a teacher and also play football and be a great football player."
