Interest grows for 2013 DT

2013 defensive tackle Demetri McGill of Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes opened some yes at several camps this summer, and is now beginning to deal with some increased interest. Included in these camps were two stops to ACC programs.
"I've been getting a few letters so far, here and there," said McGill, who is 6-foot-3 and 280-pounds. "I've got some from Virginia, UNC, Penn State, FSU and a few others."

McGill impressed at the VTO Camp in Virginia, as well as camps at North Carolina and Virginia this summer. He gave some more insight on the two schools camps.
"I did great at both of them," said McGill. "I ran a better 40 time than I did at the VTO camp. I wanted to prove that I knew how to use my hands, because in the past all I would do is the bull rush."
Aside from the camps he attended, McGill has been preparing for his junior season.
"I'm working hard to get quicker, and I'm getting my team ready for this season," said McGill.
McGill does not have any finalized plans at this time, but hopes to visit Virginia, North Carolina and Florida State this fall for games.
