Interest growing in Texas QB

Denton (Texas) Ryan quarterback Justin Willis continues to attract interest from schools as he leads his team into the playoffs.
“Not a lot has changed really,” the 6-foot-1, 197-pound Willis said. “I have a couple new schools expressing more interest and I have taken one unofficial visit. I visited SMU this weekend unofficially. I had a good time and got a chance to see a little bit of the school and the campus.”

The two-star rated Willis knows where one of his official visits will be to later on this year.
“I will make an official visit to New Mexico in December,” he said. “I haven’t scheduled the date yet. Hopefully it will be later in the month because of the playoffs. I have talked to several other schools about visiting, but I haven’t set up any trips.”
Two Big 12 schools are beginning to express more interest.
“Kansas State and Iowa State are still recruiting me. Kansas State wanted film last week and then they would get back to me. Tulane is still there and Tulsa said they were going to offer me this week. Right now, I am still favoring New Mexico. Kansas State, I like them a lot. I would like them to offer. That would change things a lot.”
Ryan continues to roll, having lost only one game on the year.
“We are rolling into the playoffs. We are 9-1, our only loss is to Southlake Carroll. On the season, I am at 2000 yards passing, 800 yards rushing. I have 22 yards passing and eight rushing.”
