Interest growing in Okuyemi

Plymouth (MN) Wayzata defensive end Tobi Okuyemi has been attracting interest from schools across the nation. Four schools have already laid their intentions on the table with scholarship offers beginning a list that is surely to grow.
"I have four offers so far," the 6-foot-3, 225 pound Okuyemi said. "Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota and Wisconsin are the offers. I also have a lot of interest in Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Stanford and Kansas.

"Right now, I do not have a favorite. It is just too early to tell. I haven't had a chance to visit all of the campuses and see what each place has to offer."
Okuyemi has been to two schools already and has more travels planned.
"I've been to Minnesota and Iowa already this year. I am going to Wisconsin's junior day next weekend. I might go to Kentucky and Vanderbilt maybe on spring break."
The early trips will offer a quick look at what schools have to offer, but likely won't push the decision process up.
"Right now, I am planning on waiting to make decision until after my senior season is over. I guess it could change, but that is my plan right now."
As a junior, Okuyemi recorded nine quarterback sacks, 16 quarterback pressures, six forced fumbles and a total of 58 tackles.
