Interest for Georgia RB picking up

Running backs with size and speed are becoming more and more the norm. Sylvania (Ga.) Screven County standout Michael Cooper fits that bill to a T with his 6-foot, 212-pound frame and 4.48-second time in the 40-yard dash.
"I’m starting to get a lot of interest from schools because they say I’m a big back with speed," Cooper said. "I have offers from Maryland, Clemson, LSU, Georgia Tech, Northwestern and Duke."

Some of those schools are in his early top five.
"If I had to pick my top five I would say Michigan, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Clemson,” he said. "Although I don't know about Michigan, I liked them a lot growing up, but haven't really heard much from them lately."
Cooper has visited Gainesville and really seemed to enjoy the camp as well as the entire atmosphere.
"I went to Florida's camp and really enjoyed everything about it,” he said. “It's just a great football environment. I talked to coach Spurrier a lot. He was cool. He showed us around. It was just great to meet all these guys face-to-face I have gotten familiar with from talking to."
Coaches from other schools have also caught Cooper's eye.
"I like talking to the Clemson coaches,” he said. “They seem like a good bunch of guys. Also, the guys at Georgia Tech are fun to talk to."Florida coaches have assured him he will be offered later this season.
