Interest continues for QB Reynolds

A variety of schools are starting to take a look at Lake Ridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton quarterback Darius Reynolds. Who is the 6-foot-1, 165-pounder hearing from at this time?
"He is hearing a lot from the MAC schools including Akron, Kent, Marshall and others," said C.D. Hylton head coach Lou Sorrentino. "I don't think many of the bigger schools are taking a look at him now, but that could change down the line."

Reynolds is a versatile player that could be a quarterback or fill another position at the next level.
"Last season was Darius's first year at quarterback for us and he had a great year," he said. "He still has a lot of growth to do and is a little thin, but he handled the ball well and kept us out of bad situations. He is very good at making plays while running the ball and is a sharp guy that is a real good leader. It remains to be seen whether he can be a Division I quarterback though, but I think a good senior year could improve that possibility.
"Although I think he's a very good quarterback, he could be a wide receiver or defensive back in college too. We actually moved him from wide receiver last year and he is lanky kid that can run and catch. He also has very good ball control. Defensively he hasn't played a lot, but he is solid in pass defense and is a great guy that can go up and get the ball."
As a junior, Reynolds threw for 1,435 yards and 20 touchdowns with just six interceptions.
