Interest continues for NJs Johnson

Paterson (N.J.) John F. Kennedy quarterback Chris Johnson picked up an offer from Rutgers in February. The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder still hasn't received another offer, but continues to get interest according to his father Ed Johnson.
"Everybody continues to show a lot of interest in him including Boston College, Connecticut, Florida State, Miami, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Louisville, West Virginia, Virginia and more," he said. "Pretty much all the other schools are calling and writing. It's crazy, the mail doesn't stop coming. I don't think he has any favorites at this time. We're waiting to see who else comes in and offers."

Johnson went to the Elite College Combine on May 1st.
"He did great there," he said. "I don't think there was a quarterback there that outshined Chris. I felt he really showed the coaches his strong arm and drop back passing ability at the combine. He's got the whole package.
"It looked like all the schools at the combine were really impressed and everyone really wants him to come up for camp this summer. I know the only one we've got scheduled right now is Rutgers."
After earning all-league, all-county and all-area honors last season, the Garden State quarterback finished the year by accounting for over 2,200 yards of offense and 23 touchdowns.
Johnson was also impressive at the NIKE Camp at Rutgers on Sunday.
