Interest begins for Maryland LB

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha linebacker Raheem Caldwell made the move from Virginia to Maryland last year. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder transferred out of Fredericksburg to DeMatha in Maryland. Colleges are starting to find out more about Caldwell.
"I posted 60 tackles, one interception and six sacks as a junior," he said. "I earned second team all-conference.

"It was an alright transition. DeMatha was more competitive and allowed me to get a lot bigger and faster. I would say I learned a lot in regards to technique, hips and tackling."
What is going on in regards to his recruiting?
"I actually just got my highlight film out and should start hearing back," he stated. "I really like Maryland, Hawaii, Virginia, Illinois and Virginia Tech. I would say Oregon and Missouri are up there.
"I'm really looking for a place with oceanography. I know not many colleges have that major."
Caldwell already confirmed one visit this summer to Maryland for camp.
