Inland Empire LB sets visit

Outside linebacker Josh Scott (6-4, 220, 4.6) from Redlands (Calif.) Redlands East Valley has seen his stock take an upward turn since the summer. He now has three offers on the table and has set his first official visit.
"Everybody who came by this past spring said he passes the look test," Redlands East Valley coach Kurt Bruich said. "It is good to see now that he is passing the play test, too.

"I don't know how many calls Josh has received since September 1st, but I know it has been a lot," Scott said. "Josh will be taking an official visit to UTEP next week (September 28th).
Besides UTEP, Scott also has offers from Colorado State and Idaho State.
As a junior, Scott was an all-league selection after accounting for 62 tackles, eight sacks and one fumble recovery.
At the present time, Scott has eight tackles in two games.
Bruich thinks that his linebacker will have more offers before the recruiting season over.
"There are a lot of good reasons to like Josh," Bruich said. "He has great size and speed.
"Not only that he is the strongest kid on our team. His total pounds on the bench, power clean and squat is 1,230.
"Josh is a solid all around athlete with a lot of versatility," Bruich said. "We don't like to have our players play both ways so he doesn't get a chance to play offense, but he could end up being and outstanding tight end on the next level.
"He has that type of athletic ability."
