Things have been busy on the Aquinas campus of late and Amajoyi is the main attraction.
"On Tuesday Cal, Air Force and UTEP were on campus to inquire about me," Amajoyi said. "New Mexico came to see about me today (Wednesday May 13th)."
"UCLA called me on the phone," Amajoyi said. "They gave me general information about the school and they talked me about my brother (Stanford linebacker Chike Amajoyi) and my cousin, (Glenn Ohaeri), who started his college career at UCLA."
"I don't have a lot of information on Arizona or UTEP," Amajoyi said. "I have to do more research on the two schools."
"I would like to go to a UC school or USC," Amajoyi said. "I feel that all three schools (Cal, UCLA, and USC), have strong programs and good academics. All of my brothers play in California and would like to do so, too."
The scouting report on Amajoyi is he's very athletic and has good burst off the line of scrimmage. He has an excellent sense for finding the football. He's outstanding at putting pressure on the quarterback. He has good strength with his 285-pound bench press, he squats 430 and have a very impressive 275-pound power clean. He recorded a 32-inch vertical at the recent Inland Empire combine.
Amajoyi was a first-team all-league selection after racking up 93 tackles and 9.5 sacks as a junior.
