Southern Pines (N.C.) Pinecrest defensive end James Harrison claims one offer. An injury marred the 6-foot-3, 245-pounder's junior year, but college interest continues to come.
"I tore my ACL in the first game on the kickoff," he said. "I missed the rest of the year and I just got cleared to jog and do some light leg work to get my quad back strong enough to run."
Harrison expects to be full strength soon.
"I'm expected to be 100% in February," he said. "I think that is when my doctor will clear me to start sports again, so I'll run track again."
Harrison holds one offer from Eastern Michigan, but others are looking.
"I've had a few new schools that are interested," he said. "A few want me to come to junior days.
"I know Duke, East Carolina and I think maybe North Carolina want me to come. Clemson has sent some stuff too."
Does Harrison like anybody?
"I like North Carolina and Duke as in-state schools," he said. "The new coaching staff for North Carolina has good people and Duke is good for an education."
