Injury and search derail Dublin official visit

Sarasota, Fla., defensive end Walter Dublin did not make his scheduled official visit to Minnesota over the weekend due to an unsual set of circumstances.
"I couldn't make it to Minnesota," Dublin said. "In our game Friday night I injured my ankle. I was on crutches and I got to the airport running a little behind schedule.

"The lady at the airport insisted on doing an extensive search. Then after I got through that, I was going through the airport and nobody helped me. I got to the gate and it was closed and the airplane was leaving.
"I will reschedule the visit sometime soon."
However Dublin did watch the Minnesota-Ohio State game on T.V.
"Minnesota played a good game," Dublin said. "But it got away towards the end. Ohio State played a good game too. They pulled it out.
"I'm still going to schedule a visit to Ohio State."
Dublin has already made an official visit to Iowa.
"I'm looking at a couple others for my last two visits," he said. "Florida, Clemson, West Virginia, and Ole Miss are still in it, nobody new.
"Ohio State, Iowa, and Minnesota are still my favorites."
Despite the injury the 6-foot-3 and 235-pound Dublin has had a fine senior season. He is in double digits for sacks.
