Ingle can feel the attention rise

Hendersonville (Tenn.) Pope John Paul II tight end/defensive end Alvin Ingle is quickly becoming one of the bigger hidden gems in the state. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect has received one scholarship already from Tennessee State.
The only question that remains is who will offer next? Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, Navy, Auburn, Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky have all been heavily pursuing Ingle.

"The buzz has gone up," Ingle said about his recruitment. "I'm getting more letters and schools want me to make official visits. TSU has talked about it, MTSU wants me to make a trip, and so does Marshall, Auburn, Navy, Kentucky and some others."
"There aren't any favorites yet though."
Marshall, TSU, and MTSU look like they'll be first for visits.
"I'm looking to make all five trips," Ingle said. "I think that TSU and MTSU aren't like top 25 teams yet, but they give me the best opportunity to play as soon as I get there. That's important for me. Even if I have to redshirt, I want to get in there as soon as I can."
Ingle's high school career came to an end late in the playoffs.
"We lost in the semi-finals of the state playoffs," Ingle said. "We were very confident and everything, but we didn't get it done. You can't turn the ball over five times and expect to win. It was just a case of too many mistakes."
