Infante likes two schools

Running back Chris Infante out of Switwater (Pa.) Pocono Mountain West hasn't taken in any visits to schools this summer and instead ran in the junior Olympics.
"It went pretty well, I got all the way to the regionals," he said. "I've been too busy with that and working this summer for visits though."

Despite not stopping at schools, the 6-foot-0, 207-pounder has received interest from Akron, West Virginia, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Maryland. Infante favors Penn State and Maryland.
"Penn State is very interested in me and they have the major I want to pursue, political science. They also have Joe Paterno who stands out because he's a great coach who knows what he's doing," he said. "Maryland has a good program for football and academics too."
Infante has not received an offer, but Akron has mentioned a potential offer forthcoming.
As for official visits, the running back is planning to take all five during the season.
"Right now, I'm considering going to Syracuse, Penn State and Maryland for visits," he said. "I'm considering Syracuse because it's close to my family."
After rushing for 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns, what is Infante looking forward to this season?
"I'm excited about how good our team is going to be, we're looking a lot better than last year," he said. "I'm looking to run for 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns and I just want to work on my one-step cut-in instead of a stutter-step."
Infante was named Mountain Valley Conference all-star as a junior.
