Indianapolis DT pulls first offer

One offer is already in for Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central defensive tackle Elijah Jones. The 6-foot-1, 285-pounder is hoping to add more to his resume soon.
"Eastern Illinois has offered me so far," he said. "Indiana is on the rise and I just need to send my paperwork to Toledo.

"A lot of schools are talking to me, but they are scared to pull the trigger because my GPA was too low last year. I've been in touch with Michigan State, Iowa, Ball State and Cincinnati. In the past semester I moved my GPA up to a 2.3."
The latest camp for Jones was Virginia Tech this past weekend.
"It went great," he said. "They told me they aren't looking at any other senior defensive linemen. I still got positive feedback and the coaches said they were really interested in me. They said I have a great motor, good size and carried my weight well. They'll still give me a look, but the chances are slim. I wish I could go to Virginia Tech, but if not, I'll go somewhere else."
What's next for Jones?
"Right now I'm going to Western Kentucky on the 18th."
