Indiana WR one of Midwests best

Indianapolis Franklin Central star athlete Donald Washington III was one of the few candidates from the state of Indiana that was on the board for consideration for the Rivals100 team. Even though he didn’t make the first list of the national top 100 prospects, Washington is going to be one of Indiana’s top prospects without a doubt.
If you don’t believe us, just ask his coach.

“The big boys have been interested because he’s an athlete,” Franklin Central coach Lance Scheib said. “You can’t teach athleticism. He’s a good football player, but he’s a better athlete. That’s why I say he’s still raw. He’s learning how to play the game.
“From weeks 3-11 last year Donald was our most improved player.”
But there is definitely quite a bit to work with when it comes to Washington. He had 45 receptions for 797 yards and seven touchdowns in his junior season. He also averaged 24.2 yards on kickoff returns and 16.8 yards on punt returns.
“I’m aggressive and attacking,” Washington said.
Washington has a long list of schools on his wish list. Florida, Indiana, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Purdue are some of his favorites. He doesn’t have any official offers yet, but you can count on some to come soon.
“I want to find a school where I fit in academically,” Washington, who has a 3.4 grade-point average, said. “I also want to see how interested the school really is interested in me. And I don’t want to go too far from home, so distance will be a factor.”
