Indiana sleeper lifts a heavy load

Chesterton, Ind. inside linebacker prospect Garrett Baker (6-foot-1, 227 pounds) has seen very limited recruiting interest so far during the May evaluation period, yet Baker showed his strength last Sunday at the Iowa Nike Camp. Baker posted an impressive 32 reps of 185 pounds on Sunday.
"I was really happy with my bench at the Nike Camp," Garrett Baker said. "I was running with a slight injury and I wanted to run better, but overall the camp was an incredible experience. Everything was just first class and I feel that I was able to improve my overall coverage skills. Having to cover those backs in the one on one drills just helped to make me a better player."

Baker also enjoyed the camaraderie as well at the Nike Camp. "I didn't really know too many guys except for running back Antoine Brown from Portage, and we got along really well at Nike. I also got to know some of the other players from different states, and that was great."
Recruiting-wise, Baker has had an in school visit from Ball State University. "The Ball State coaches made an in school visit last week, and according to my coach several more schools are scheduled to make visits over the next few weeks."
