Indiana first to offer 2015 DT

Indianapolis (Ind.) Park Tudor class of 2015 defensive tackle Brandon Tiassum went into Indiana's camp last month hoping to generate enough interest that the Hoosiers would watch him as a junior, but was surprised with his first offer of the process coming out of the camp.
"That was huge. I was just really grateful for the offer," Tiassum said. "I wasn't expecting it… I was expecting them to be like the rest of the schools and wait until next year."

With the offer, the 6-foot-5, 265-pound Tiassum has developed a strong, early interest in Indiana's program. He plans to make a return visit to Bloomington in the next two weeks.
"I love the coaches there, I just love the facilities and it has been a great experience there for me," Tiassum said. "I will be at a lot of the games there this year. From being down there, it seems like they are going to make a big leap this year to one of the elite teams in the Big Ten."
Schools like UCLA, Michigan State, Purdue, Oregon and Arkansas are also showing early interest, but have yet to join Indiana on his offer list.
"That's my only [offer] this off-season, but I am getting a lot of interest from big schools," Tiassum said. 'They want to see my film from next season before they offer."
Besides Indiana, Tiassum also camped with Michigan State and Louisville in June and generated interest from those schools with his performance.
"They said they want to stay in contact with me and we exchanged information," Tiassum said. "I was with the seniors at those camps and I think I did pretty well."
Tiassum has the size that could translate to either the offensive or defensive lines, and he started both ways as a sophomore for Park Tudor. His recruitment has started out, however, with teams looking at him exclusively on the defensive side of the football.
"I think I am more of a defensive player, but if a team needs me to play offense I am more than willing to play it," Tiassum said.
