Indiana first B1G offer for Reese

Linebacker David Reese is comfortably into double-digit offer territory now, but the Farmington, Mich., product had to wait until Sunday to land his first Big Ten offer.
The 6-foot-1, 226-pound Reese received that offer right when he arrived on campus for Indiana's junior day.

"As soon as I got there I saw Coach (William) Inge and we got right to it," Reese said. "He took me to the head coach's office (who) said they needed to fill that big MIKE position and they are going to take about two or three in my class. Coach Inge was in there, but the head coach offered me."
The offer comes just a couple weeks after Indiana defensive coordinator Brian Knorr had a chance to stop by Farmington High. They spent some time talking with head coach Kevin Wilson in his office before embarking on the rest of the junior day visit.
"We talked about life and how you have to have a get-away sometimes," Reese said. "We really talked about how the guys grind and put in the work. We talked about his rotation also - he played eight linebackers the last game I saw. I can see myself in that defense really well. They do a lot of blitz packages and personnel changes."
The junior day experience included watching the nationally-ranked Indiana basketball team take on Michigan and gave Reese a good look at the school.
"I had a great time. I love the energy," Reese said. "We actually got to see a work out at the end. The basketball game was electric and they won."
The offer from Indiana was preceded last week by an offer from Louisville, giving Reese offers in the ACC and Big Ten.
"At all these camps we've gone too I've been working to break into the BCS," Reese said. "Now that I finally did, it shows the hard work is paying off. It's crazy to see how the process is going."
Reese's teammate, wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick, has already made a commitment to Louisville.
"We talk almost everyday about it," Reese said. "I can't wait to get down. I am actually taking a visit sometime soon. Coach (Terrell) Buckley gave me my first BCS offer, so they always have a place in my heart."
Besides Louisville, Reese also plans to make visits to Michigan and Tennessee in the near future. The three-star prospect finished his junior season with 107 tackles and six sacks for a 7-3 Farmington team.
