Indiana DT gets first offer

Cicero (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern defensive tackle Nicolas Sliger is officially on the board. Not only is he now in the Rivals.com recruiting database, he's also on the board with his first scholarship offer.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive tackle/offensive guard received his first scholarship offer on Wednesday from in-state Indiana.

"I just got it today," he said. "Indiana wants me for the defensive nose-tackle position. I play both O-line and D-line, so it was really cool to get my first offer."
Sliger is also getting pretty heavy attention from Purdue, Iowa, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Illinois. He earned all-conference honors in 2006. He was also a member of the all-Hamilton County Team as a junior after racking up 59 tackles, eight tackles for a loss and three sacks.
"I take each game as having the best opponents that I will play," Sliger said. "I must give 110 percent each game and against every player that I play."
Sliger said he grew up a big fan of Notre Dame when he was younger, but he said he's open to any school that's interested in him. He does have a few things that he'll look at when it comes time to make a decision.
"The graduation rate will be important," he said. "The quality of the education offered will also be a key. I'm also going to look at the depth chart, too."
Sliger plans to camp this summer at Iowa, Indiana, Duke, Purdue and Notre Dame.
