Increased interest for Rodgers

Khaliel Rodgers and his Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy teammates are preparing themselves for a big game this weekend against nationally ranked Our Lady of Good Council. Rodgers will be anchoring the offensive line and also contributing on the defensive line during this major test.
"I am playing great. I think I have improved tremendously. I have a lot more knowledge about my position and what I am suppose to be doing," said Rodgers.

At 6-foot-3, 300-pounds, the junior guard already has the size for the next level. Rodgers holds an offer from UConn and is hoping to see more offers soon.
"I am being contacted by basically everyone in the PAC-12, and others like Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Auburn, Arkansas, mostly every team in the top 25," said Rodgers.
Does he believe any schools are close to offering?
"I feel like Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State are close," said Rodgers. "They have been keeping constant contact with me. I have been trying to get out to their schools to visit but have only had a chance to see Maryland."
Rodgers has no favorites yet, but does know what he is looking for in a school.
"I like any school that likes me," said Rodgers. "But I am looking for a great academic program, a school that will fit me and a place with a great environment."
With UConn being his lone offer to this point, he shared his thoughts on the Huskies.
"Their coaching staff is amazing, I love their coaching staff," said Rodgers. "I went up there for camp and I just loved the campus."
The Delaware native is planning to take a trip down to Auburn later in the season to see them play against Ole Miss.
