In-state schools coming after Freeman

Running back C.J. Freeman is the next big time recruit to come out of Greensboro (N.C.) Northern Guilford. The 2016 prospect has one offer so far but expect more to flow in.
"Virginia Tech is my first offer," said the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Freeman. "Recruiting is going well. I've been hearing from more in-state schools. I visited for their camps this summer and the coaches of told me to come back for another visit after the evaluation period. I'll be traveling a whole lot this month."

Freeman has set up a few visits for the next few weeks and possibly one with teammate Mook Reynolds.
"I'm going back to N.C. State, Duke and North Carolina," he said. "I'm also going to Virginia Tech and possibly Georgia. I think Mook might come with me to Georgia."
The Hokies are in good position with Freeman but there are a few that could jump into the race.
"I talk with Virginia Tech the most right now," Freeman said. "They were my first offer so I talk with them a lot. Duke is recruiting me the hardest out of all the in-state schools so far. N.C. State and Clemson are in there also."
Freeman helped Northern Guilford to a 12-win season last year.
