In-state school moving on Earls

Macon (Ga.) Central wide receiver Corey Earls, like so many other prospects, made a name for himself at the NIKE camp. He picked up an offer from Marshall shortly after the camp, but now one in-state school appears to be on the verge of offering.
"Georgia Tech, Marshall, Clemson, UAB, Vanderbilt and some others have called me this month," Earls said. "UAB told me that they would offer in the next week or so. Georgia Tech is coming to game on Friday night and they told me that if they liked what they saw that they might offer."

The 6-foot-0, 177-pound Earls attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds, the shuttle in 4.37 seconds and posted a 31-inch vertical jump.
"I went to the Georgia Tech-Connecticut game," Earls said. "This weekend I am not going to any games, but next weekend I may go to the Clemson or Auburn game. I don't know who is playing at home or whatever, I need to check things out."
During his junior campaign Earls caught 30 passes for 504 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 16.8 yards per catch.
"Georgia Tech, Marshall, Vanderbilt, Clemson and Auburn are probably my top five at this point," Earls said. "Every thing is the same except Vandy has worked their way in there because they have been recruiting me really hard lately."
So far this season Earls has 17 receptions for 370 yards, four touchdowns and has returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in just five games.
