In-state offer, leader for Alabama ATH

McCalla (Ala.) McAdory athlete Marcus Jemison recently picked up a verbal scholarship offer from an in-state Southeastern Conference power and now has that school at the top of his list of choices.
"Auburn has offered me," Jemison said. "I talked to them on the phone and they offered me. They are at the top."
The Tigers join Clemson, Arkansas and Mississippi State in offering the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder and are recruiting Jemison as a free safety.
"I like Auburn a lot," he said. "I like the way they are organized and I like the way that they run their program. I went down to their camp and I like the way their program is set up."
Terry Price is recruiting Jemison for the Tigers.
Jemison has been to Clemson and also enjoyed what he saw there.
"I have been up there and I really like the atmosphere surrounding their program," he said. "It's real nice."
He also has some interest in Arkansas.
"I haven't been to Arkansas," he said. "But I do like them from what I've seen on TV."
Alabama, Mississippi State (offer), Middle Tennessee State (offer) and Houston also have been recruiting Jemison, who is in no hurry to make a decision.
"I have got no timeframe," he said. "I am probably going to wait until February to make my final decision. I don't think I am going to commit now or anything."
Jemison is rated as the No. 27 overall prospect in the state of Alabama and the No. 61 athlete in America by Rivals.com.
