In-state offer excites Utah LB

Coming off one of its biggest recruiting days in history with the pledges of star players like Jake Heaps, Ross Apo and Zac Stout, BYU hosted its Junior Day on Friday and it looks like several big-time prospects made it to Provo and a few new offers were extended.
One of those players that got an offer was Sandy (Utah) Alta three-star inside linebacker Toloa'i Ho Ching.

"I'm leaving BYU now, but I got the offer," Ho Ching, who is 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, said. "I'm very excited about it. It's a very prestigious offer to get, especially for an in-state guy like me.
"Coach Bronco Mendenhall offered me. It's a great accomplishment. They brought us all in to his office individually."
While many in-state players might be tempted to jump on an offer from the Cougars, Ho Ching is going to wait things out a little bit. In fact, Ho Ching, who also has offers from Wisconsin, Wyoming and Utah State, is on his way now to Los Angeles to compete in the UCLA camp on Saturday.
"UCLA's really excited about me, and I'm hoping to show them that I deserve an offer, too," Ho Ching said. "Stanford also said they want to offer me."
