Ryan Brown says his official
visit to Clemson this weekend went much better than he had anticipated.
"There's a lot of people down here who had told me a
bunch of rumors and negative stuff about Clemson," said Brown, a member of the
Rivals.com
Southeast Top 100 team and the
No. 24 inside linebacker in the nation. "Getting to see the campus and spend
some time down there on my own really cleared all of that up. It was nice, and
their players showed me a great time. It seems like a fun place to go to
school."
Enough to get him to elevate the Tigers into his main
contenders?
"Maybe," he said. "It will still be a tough decision,
though. I go to South Carolina (1/17) this coming week, then Florida
(1/24) and Ohio State (1/31), so I'm sure they're going to show me a good time,
too. Those three would still be on top right now. I'm liking Ohio State more and
more lately."
Brown (6-2, 235, 4.5) wrapped up his senior season at
Berkeley HS with more than 100 tackles and three interceptions.
