In-State Battle For DE

Miami (Fla.) Jackson defensive end Elvis Dumervil knows where he would like to attend college next year -- the University of Miami.
"Miami is definitely where I'd like to go, its only about fifteen minutes from my house." He said. "I’m really still thinking about Florida a lot too though. Even without Coach Spurrier Florida is still gonna be Florida."

The 6-foot-1, 240-pounder has just returned from the California/Florida all-star game.
"I'm really tired of traveling. The plane ride to and from California was long, about six hours both ways and I really haven't had good experiences on planes so I may only take my last two visits out of state and that’s it."
Dumervil added, "I got my SAT score back on Dec. 27 and I made an 830. That along with my GPA of 2.5 makes me qualified. Now that was a great late Christmas present!"
Dumervil is scheduled to visit Central Florida this weekend and has stops remaining at Louisville on Jan. 18, Michigan on Jan. 25. He has already visited Florida on Dec. 14
