IMG Day 1: Top performers offense

Recruiting wrap: USC, Washington and Notre Dame all all heavily involved with Sidney.
Performance: Sidney was his usual self, as he made big play after big play. He turned a few intermediate routes into long gains and also caught a number of deep balls. Sidney moves smoothly for a player of his limited size and was, by far, his team's most effective offensive weapon. He showed off an impressive vertical on one touchdown pass in particular and flashed his elite athleticism all afternoon.

WR
T.J. Chase
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Recruiting wrap: Chase is committed to Clemson.
Performance: Chase shines brightly at nearly every event he attends and Saturday was no exception. He helped his team to an undefeated record and found himself on the receiving end of a number of touchdown passes. Chase is incredibly smooth out of his breaks and has a change of pace that devastates defensive backs. Chase is a big target with incredible acceleration for his size.
4
WR
D.J. Matthews
Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian
Recruiting wrap: Matthews is committed to Florida State.
Performance: Last year at this time, Matthews was lighting up 7-on-7 tournaments and even though he was out of the spotlight for a while, he came back in a major way on Saturday. Matthews was almost impossible to cover as he led Pro Impact through pool play. He also had a very impressive grab in one game where he showed off his incredible vertical leap to fly from out of nowhere and snag the ball over two defenders.
5
TE
Isaac Nauta
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Recruiting wrap: Nauta is committed to Florida State.
Performance: Nauta continues to reshape his body and is getting quicker because of it. He carries next to no bad weight these days and has become more explosive. Nauta caught a number of touchdown passes on Saturday, but was particularly effective in his team's final game. Nuata caught a number of fade routes and was also nearly uncoverable over the middle.
6
QB
Shea Patterson
Shreveport (La.) Calvary
Recruiting wrap: Patterson is committed to Ole Miss.
Performance: Patterson is the nation's top quarterback and played like it on Saturday, making quick decisions, getting the ball out fast and delivering it on the money. His team had a few hiccups, but on Saturday it was hard to point to another quarterback who was as consistent as Patterson when it came to delivering the ball on the money.
7
QB
Zerrick Cooper
Jonesboro, Ga.
Recruiting wrap: Cooper is committed to Clemson.
Performance: It's been a busy spring for Cooper on the 7-on-7 circuit as he spent time playing as part of Cam Newton's team and also represented his high school team in several tournaments. Cooper seems to get better with every tournament he plays and on Saturday he was locked in, getting the ball out quickly and showing impressive arm strength when he needed to fit the ball into tight windows.
8
WR
Kyle Davis
Lawrenceville (Tenn.) Archer
Recruiting wrap: Davis recently decommitted from South Carolina. Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee are among the schools pushing the hardest for his services.
Performance: There isn't a more physically imposing wide receiver in the country than Davis and he put his big body to work, shedding jams and shielding defenders to make several plays for his undefeated FSS team. Davis missed some events in the spring, but still looks like one of the country's best wide receivers.
9
ATH
Eric Gray (2019)
Memphis (Tenn.) Louisiana Collegiate School
Recruiting wrap: Just an eight grader, Gray already holds an offer from Mississippi State.
Performance: Gray made as many plays as anyone on his team. And while his team struggled to collect wins, he carried the offense for the morning. Gray is explosive off the line and is growing into his body. As Gray adds size, he could be become a very high-level prospect. The physical tools are there and Gray's hands are sure despite his youth.
10
QB
Malik Henry
TBD
Recruiting wrap: Henry is committed to Florida State.
Performance: Henry, who is still searching for a new high school, was his usual self on Saturday, leading his team to an unblemished record. He has a wealth of targets, sure, but his arm strength was on display as was his fluid delivery. Henry made only a few questionable decisions with the football and showed touch as well as arm strength.
11
WR
Sam Bruce
Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
Recruiting wrap: Bruce is committed to Miami.
Performance: Bruce is a nearly perfect 7-on-7 player and never disappoints. He made some of the day's most impressive catches and impacted nearly every game. It wasn't his best day, but it was still better than that of most receivers at the event. Bruce's acceleration is impressive and his change of pace is devastating. The knock on Bruce is his lack of height at 5-foot-8. Finding much else to complain about is quite a task.
12
WR
Nate Craig-Myers
Tampa (Fla.) Catholic
Recruiting wrap: Craig-Myers has several options, with Auburn and Florida State remaining as his most likely destinations.
Performance: When Craig-Myers is engaged and ready to compete, he's almost impossible to stop and he showed that during Unsigned Prep's undefeated run through pool play. Craig-Myers has incredible body control and strong hands that make him a threat to catch most passes that might be a 50-50 ball for another wide receiver. Craig-Myers is trying to hold off several other prospects for the nation's top receiving spot and he did a nice job of stating his case.
13
QB
Kato Nelson
Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan
Recruiting wrap: Nelson is committed to Akron
Performance: Nelson doesn't get the fanfare of other quarterbacks in the region, but he's truly had a tremendous offseason. He also look to have grown an inch or two. Nelson had a tremendous start to the day and showed a lot of arm strength during the event. He's prone to the occasional judgment lapse, sure, and his footwork isn't polished, but he has every physical tool college coaches want in a quarterback. Nelson could be in for a monster senior season.
14
RB
Emmanuel Greene
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Recruiting wrap: Greene holds offers from a number of schools, including Ohio State and Miami.
Performance: Greene showed up wearing a Maryland hat and represented it well. He always seemed to be in the middle of the action and scored a few touchdowns in close games. Greene's shiftiness makes him an ideal 7-on-7 player. He's a real threat in space and is capable of turning short passes into long gains.
15
QB
Lindsey Scott, Jr.
Zachary, La.
Recruiting wrap: Scott has a handful of FBS options, including Army, Arkansas State and Navy.
Performance: Scott isn't the biggest quarterback in the world (5-11, 197), but in 7-on-7 it's all about decision-making and accuracy and those are two of the strongpoints in Scott's game. While playing for Louisiana's loaded Bootleggers squad, Scott got into a groove and helped his team win three consecutive games to close out pool play. While he might not have the size of an ideal Power Five quarterback, Scott clearly has the talent to play at the next level.
