Imeokparia adds offer, takes an official

Blairstown (N.J.) Blair Academy athlete Ed Imeokparia took his third official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-0, 188-pounder made his way to Louisville.
"It was a good visit," he said. "It was different, but it gave me a nice chance to see the city around the campus. It seems like there are a lot of things to do outside of football.

"In addition, the facilities are top of the line. They were built recently. I also like how the players bonded. It's a great group of guys that are dedicated."
Imeokparia was hosted on the trip by Eugene Sowell.
"He's from Birmingham which isn't too far from where my grandparents live," he said. "He talked to me about how the coaches there are straight forward and how he enjoyed his experience so far."
What did the three-star prospect think of Steve Kragthorpe and his staff?
"The coaches were good," he said. "I got to sit down with Coach English who is recently from Michigan. He told me how he'll make me a better player and went into detail about it.
"I also sat down with Coach Kragthorpe. He's a great guy. He's really committed to the program and said that's the last place he'll be coaching. That's important for me to know because I want that stability."
Imeokparia resisted from rating the visit, but claims it was solid.
In the meantime, one school just offered the athlete on Sunday night.
"North Carolina gave me an official offer," he stated. "I'm not sure what is next, I could be going to North Carolina this weekend or possibly Florida State or even Auburn. I only have two visits left.
"Coach Amato is coming up from FSU on Tuesday and I'll probably get a better idea what's going on."
