Imade collecting offers

Arlington (Texas) Bowie offensive guard Tope Imade has seen the action pick up on the recruiting front. Since receiving his first offer from Tulane he has added Texas State, Arizona State, Illinois State, and on Monday he received his second Pac-12 offer.
On Monday the Washington Huskies extended an offer to the 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive lineman. It all came together quickly but it might have happened quicker if Imade had been a little faster checking his email.

"I don't really check my email that much so I found out coach Pease had emailed me to send my transcript over," Imade said. "This was about two or three days ago and then I told my coach about it and he emailed coach Peace my transcript and today they offered me. It was great. "
Imade does not know much about the Washington program, but he does remember them making a recent trip to Texas.
"I only know about Washington because I think they played Baylor two or three years ago in the Alamo Bowl against RG3," Imade said.
In addition to collecting offers, Imade has also taken a few visits. His first trip was to Baylor for Junior Day.
"Baylor was great," Imade said. "Coach Briles is very motivating the way he gives speaches. That weight room. The weight program. The have great trainers. They have like 10 to take care of you 24-7. They said they're the only Big 12 school that has trainers 24-7. I didn't get a chance to see their housing facilities, but it's good. It was great."
Next on the schedule was a trip to Oklahoma.
"At Oklahoma their housing facilities were like a hotel," Imade said. "It was kind of funny. Their indoor practice field is huge. I went a day early for the Junior Day and I spent three or four hours with coach Bedenbaugh and we just talked and he showed me around campus. He's a pretty cool guy. He was real about it and told me what I had to work on and told me he was going to be down here this spring to watch me."
Coach Bill Bedenbaugh and Imade hit it off pretty well and they remain in contact. Imade has also formed a pretty quick bond with coach Lee Hays at Texas Tech, and a trip to Lubbock is in the planning stages.
"I've been talking to coach Hays and I want to visit him," Imade said. "He's an awesome offensive line coach. I haven't met him in person but I've talked to him on the phone and he has a great personality. He's a really cool guy."
Imade continues to take in the recruiting process, and he has plans to annonce his college decision in the fall. It will be on his birthday, Monday, October 26, 2015.
